Deadline for abstract submission is 11pm, Friday 31st March 2026.
If you have completed a research study, audit, quality improvement project or have an interesting case presentation this is your opportunity to present your work at a national meeting.

MANSAG 2026 Education Symposium Abstracts Instructions:
Attendees are invited to note the following key information about the 16th Annual Education Symposium:
Who can submit:
All health and social care professionals or students. If chosen, one of the authors listed within the abstract is required to have registered to attend.
Submission Eligibility:
Abstract submissions must be associated with health or social care for example basic science, clinical, management or educational projects. Submissions will broadly fall into three categories
- Research (basic science, health and social care, education)
- Quality Improvement and Audits
- Case Presentations
Abstracts are limited to 300 words and must be written in scientific or academic prose. There is a maximum of two abstracts per presenting author.
Abstract Scoring
There is a 300 word limit (excluding title and headings). A single figure may be included. Scoring will be based on quality of content, structure and grammar.

11pm on Friday, 31st March 2026
Types of presentations
You may request your abstract only to be considered for only an oral presentation. However, this does not guarantee your abstract will be chosen. All submissions will otherwise be considered for both oral and poster presentations. If selected, your oral or poster presentation will be delivered to a national audience of healthcare professionals.
Prizes and Awards
There will be national prizes given to the best poster and oral presentations at the symposium. MANSAG Regional Chairs with the highest number of abstracts will also be recognized with a special MANSAG Award.
Poster Formats:
Poster presentations should be A1 and portrait in orientation. They will be presented on screens during the Symposium.
Guidance on structure for your Abstract
General abstracts (Research and QI) should follow the below subheadings:
- Title
- Introduction
- Aims and Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion or Conclusion
Case presentation abstracts should have the following subheadings:
- Title
- Introduction
- Case Presentation
- Discussion/ Learning Points:
Authorship
All authors names and affiliations (place of work/study) should be included in the submission. The first author is the one presenting, whilst the last author is the senior or supervising author. This is excluded from word count). It should be set out as below:
