MANSAG Executive Team

The MANSAG Executive Committee is the Association’s governing team entrusted with day‑to‑day governance, strategy and member support. Elected at the Annual General Meeting, the team oversees professional development programmes, policy advocacy, and philanthropic projects in Nigeria and the UK. Here is the list of Officers within our Executive Committee and their portfolio of duties:

MANSAG President:

Dr. Jide Menakaya

He is a consultant Neonatal Paediatrician and Clinical Lead for Patient Safety at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is also the Director of a private healthcare provider organization, Moor Park Paediatric Practice.

General Secretary:

Dr. Andrew Alalade

Dr. Andrew F. Alalade is a Consultant Neurosurgeon. He holds an honorary Senior Clinical Lectureship at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and serves as Regional Director for the North-West England Neurosurgery Teaching Programme and Research Lead in his Department.

Financial Secretary:

Dr. Raymond Ladele

Dr. Raymond Ladele, qualified from UCH Ibadan, Nigeria, and holds an M.Sc. in Health Economics and Health Policy from the University of Birmingham. He became a GP in Warwickshire in 2016 and completed a postgraduate diploma in the field of Diabetes in 2022. 

Treasurer:

Dr. Mosun Fapohunda

Dr. Mosun Fapohunda is a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry, with endorsement in Substance Misuse Psychiatry. She provides outpatient, inpatient and addictions rehabilitation within private practice and provides clinical and Pastoral support to a range of multi-professional teams and lay people.

Welfare Secretary:

Dr. Oge Ilozue

Dr. Oge Ilozue is serving as Welfare Secretary for her 3rd tenure. Her welfare work with MANSAG has been instrumental in making sure members are supported with a strong advocate through the trials of their professional and personal lives.

Publicity Secretary:

Dr. Ugochi Nnaji

Dr. Ugochi Nnaji is a London based GP. She obtained her medical degree from Madonna University, Nigeria and also holds an MPH from Cardiff University. She also Chairs the MANSAG Publicity and Membership Committee.

Resident Doctors Rep:

Dr. Fatima Adamu-Biu

Dr. Fatima is currently a Urology Registrar in East Midlands with a vested interest in representing the interests of Resident Doctors in MANSAG. Her role is to advocate for the needs and concerns of resident doctors, create opportunities for professional development, and foster a sense of community among Nigerian doctors practicing across the UK.

AHP Representative:

Dr. Olufunmilayo Ogunremi

Dr. Olufunmilayo Ogunremi is a Senior Clinical Pharmacist and Independent Prescriber registered to practice in the UK and Nigeria. She has garnered experience in Integrated Care Systems, Hospitals, General Practice, Community Care, Care Homes, Training, Research, and Professional Development of Health Care Professionals.

MANSAG was formed in 1997 after cross fertilization of ideas amongst Nigerian doctors resident in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Jide Menakaya was inaugurated as the 9th President of MANSAG at the 27th Annual General Meeting held in Manchester.
