Dr. Jide Menakaya is the President of the Medical Association of Nigerian Specialists Across Great Britain (MANSAG).
He is a consultant Neonatal Paediatrician and Clinical Lead for Patient Safety at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is also the Director of a private healthcare provider organization, Moor Park Paediatric Practice.
Dr. Menakaya completed his undergraduate medical training at University of Benin in 1991, graduating with the accolade of best student in Mental Health. After House Jobs at University of Benin Teaching Hospital, he transferred to the United Kingdom to start post graduate studies in Paediatrics.
He was one of the early groups of Calman Trainees rotating through London, Wessex and West Midlands deaneries, including a Fellowship in Neonatal Medicine in Melbourne Australia, before his appointment to a Consultant position in 2003.
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Jide is a Knight of St. Christopher (Church of Nigeria) and the Vice President of the Joint Council of Anglican Knights of United Kingdom and Europe, a member of the Grants Committee of Foundations – a Department for Education think tank, a Trustee of ERIC – a National Children’s Charity, a Bishop’s Nominee to the Governing Body of a Multi-Academy Trust School, and a School Governor of his local Primary School.
He enjoys singing as a bass chorister, cycling, tennis and travelling.
