I am a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist. I am based at the
North Middlesex University Hospital Edmonton London. I hold an honorary Senior Lecturer post with the
University College London/Royal Free Medical School and also St George’s University Medical School Granada.
I trained at the University of Ibadan medical school, a 1987 graduate. I did my post graduate training at
the University College Hospital Ibadan in addition I worked in all major maternity hospitals in
Ibadan Nigeria prior to coming to the United Kingdom in 1996. My clinical interests include labour ward
obstetrics with a focus on improvement in maternity services both in the UK and Nigeria. I am a certified
minimal access surgeon, and a certified colposcopist. I am interested in medical education, research and mentoring
My goal is to promote MANSAG to a position of being the apex organisation for Nigerians in the UK both
medical and non-medical. I believe we have the potentials to improve the quality of medical care in
Nigeria while at the same time remains relevant to the welfare of our medical colleagues in UK.
I am married with 2 kids. Interest includes reading biography, history and political philosophy.
I enjoy odd games of squash and chess. I was previously the Welfare Secretary from 2007-2008 and
was appointed Secretary in October 2008
